Journey to the Center of the Earth (2008)

Film Journey to the Center of the Earth merupakan adaptasi dari novel fiksi ilmiah berjudul sama yang dirilis pada 1864 silam. Novel itu bercerita tentang profesor asal Jerman, Otto Lidenbrock yang percaya bahwa ada tabung volkanis yang menembus ke inti bumi. Dia dan keponakan laki-lakinya, Axel lantas berangkat ke gunung berapi di Islandia, Snaefellsjokull dan melalui begitu banyak petualangan. Mereka juga bertemu dengan hewan-hewan purba dan bencana alam. Melewati terowongan berbentuk tabung, mereka pun menembus inti bumi dan sampai ke gunung berapi di Italia, yaitu Gunung Stromboli.
